They might learn from their mistakes, but mostly I think touching the bottom or losing everything lets you know exactly how bad the worst really is. And if it isn\u2019t that bad, or isn\u2019t as bad as you feared, then you feel very safe doing it again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Imagine someone who is in water up to their chin as they tiptoe along the bottom of a pool. Now imagine someone who is treading water just a few inches above the bottom of the pool and doesn\u2019t know where the bottom is and is afraid of not being near the safety of the pool\u2019s edges or bottom. Which person has the advantage?
