If you surf, water will get into your nose. You will be shaken like a rag doll. You will be turned upside down and beaten down by many pounds of water. You can’t stop then. Because that’s not the fun part. The fun part is when everything goes right. It’s warm, the winds are light, the waves are glassy, there’s not too many people out and you’re catching lots of waves.
Business is not all fun. There are many parts that you might not enjoy—bookkeeping, admin tasks, sales and marketing. You might just like making stuff. But it’s all connected. You can’t just do the fun part. No one gets away with that. Just know that going into it.
